Shark Fin Cove

I photographed Stephanie’s senior portraits in Davenport, along the 1, just 15 minutes north of Santa Cruz. We chased the sun along the cliffs overlooking the ocean. We even found a huge field of wild flowers, where I ended up walking through a swarm of wasps and getting stung six times, not the shining moment of the evening. Not to mention, my previous Poison Oak experience that I still hand’t recovered from.

Shadow Glen Riding Stables

I had the pleasure of shooting Allison’s senior portraits a couple weekends ago at Lake Natoma with horses, Julie and Nash. Allison is graduating this spring from UC Davis with a degree in Communications. Her session took place at Shadow Glen Riding Stables where she currently teaches horseback riding, guides trail rides, and trains the new horses. She has been riding since she was eight, but over the last four years has become more involved in her passion, so it was only fitting for her to take her senior portraits with her beloved horses. Couple’s Weekend Getaway Session | Big Sur, CA

Point Lobos State Natural Reserve

A couple weekends ago, Jordan and I met up with Michelle and Shane in Big Sur. Michelle and Shane are a super sweet couple from Canada, visiting the California Coast. Because most of Big Sur is closed do to the Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge collapse, we found ourself in the northern parts of Big Sur that are still accessible. We spent the late afternoon wandering Point Lobos, taking photos on the cliffs and watching otters below, crack clams open on their bellies.
